Boston Lands Peterka from Utah

The Bruins gave up the 23rd selection and a top-10 protected 2028 first-round pick previously owned by the Panthers. Peterka posted 25 goals and 47 points in his first season with Utah after a 68-point 2024-25 campaign in Buffalo. The 24-year-old signed a five-year, $5.5-million contract the previous summer. Utah had acquired him from Buffalo exactly one year earlier for Michael Kesselring and Josh Doan. Boston now holds a pending RFA with established top-six production.

Rangers Add Dorofeyev from Vegas

Vegas sent Pavel Dorofeyev to the Rangers for the 26th and 92nd picks plus a top-10 protected 2028 first-rounder. Dorofeyev, 25, recorded a career-high 37 goals and 64 points last season while adding 12 goals in 22 playoff games. The Golden Knights held only $4.625 million in cap space, forcing the move of their leading scorer before he signed a seven-year, $11-million extension. New York gains a proven finisher entering his prime.

Blues Secure McTavish from Anaheim

St. Louis sent the 15th and 29th picks to Anaheim for Mason McTavish. The 23-year-old had already signed a six-year, $7-million extension. Anaheim used the 15th selection on Nikita Klepov immediately after the trade. McTavish supplies a young, cost-controlled center with top-six upside for the Blues.

These three deals alone moved five first-round picks and two second-rounders.
