Vegas Golden Knights Enter 2026 Stanley Cup Final as Heavy Favorites

Vegas defeated the Colorado Avalanche in four straight games to reach the Stanley Cup Final. The Golden Knights posted victories of 4-2, 3-1, 5-3 and 2-1 across the series.

Mitch Marner leads all playoff scorers with 21 points while Jack Eichel sits second with 18 points, both in 16 games played. This duo combined for 39 points in the postseason before the Final.

Vegas posted a plus-8 goal differential in the Western Conference Final and converted 28.6 percent of its power-play opportunities.

The club opens as +125 favorites for Game 1 according to BetMGM odds released May 30.

Carolina Hurricanes Advance Past Montreal

Carolina eliminated the Montreal Canadiens in five games with scores of 2-6, 3-2, 3-2 in overtime, 4-0 and 6-1. The Hurricanes outscored Montreal 18-13 across the series.

Taylor Hall and Jackson Blake each recorded 16 and 15 points respectively in only 13 games. Carolina’s top line generated 2.8 expected goals per 60 minutes at five-on-five during the Eastern Conference Final.

The team enters the Final on a three-game winning streak after dropping the first two contests of the conference final.

Series Schedule and Early Indicators

Game 1 is set for June 2 at 8 p.m. ET in Carolina with Vegas listed at +125 and Carolina at -155 on BetMGM. Subsequent games follow on June 4, 6, 9, 11, 14 and 17 if necessary.

Vegas has won its last eight road playoff games dating back to the second round. Carolina has allowed an average of 3.4 goals per game when playing at home in the postseason.

Marner and Eichel have combined for nine multi-point games in the 2026 playoffs. Carolina has not held a lead after two periods in its last four wins.
